The Prettiest Metallic Inks for Calligraphy
/Who doesn’t love writing with a sparkly, metallic ink? Metallics instantly elevate your work and can add such a glamorous, elegant touch to your calligraphy and lettering! Here are a few metallic inks that I really love:
Dr. PH Martin’s Copperplate Gold
This gold ink from the Dr. Ph. Martin’s iridescent ink line is a classic, true gold! It looks great on both light and dark colored paper.
Dr. PH Martin’s Nickel
This ink, also from the iridescent ink line, is more of a champagne gold color, with less yellow. It is so pretty and especially pops on dark paper!
Iridescent Ink Sets
If you love the Dr. Ph. Martin’s iridescent inks as much as I do, check out their iridescent ink sets.
Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors
These are some super shimmery pastels! You can use a small paintbrush to add water and load onto your nib, use a brush to use these for brush lettering, or use as an accent on a watercolor piece.
Finetec Gold
Like the pastels above, you can use these as watercolors with a brush or with a pointed pen. This palette contains 6 stunning shades of sparkly gold!
Pearl Ex rose gold
Mix this pigment with water for a shimmery and shiny rose gold ink!
You really can’t go wrong with a sparkly metallic ink! They are so fun to write with to add some pizzazz to your projects. Happy lettering!
