January Check In

January Check In

We’re three weeks into 2020. Let’s check in - how are those new year’s resolutions going? Personally, I said I was going to be more active and I’ve been doing well so far! But, I’m still feeling a little post-holiday sadness and not feeling super creative lately. January is the busiest time of year for my full-time job, so that definitely doesn’t help. I’m starting to really look forward to February as another fresh start.

I had the idea of doing a monthly “check in” post, where I could share a round-up of things that don’t necessarily need a whole post to themselves. Things like something cool I found out about or did, upcoming events I have going on, something on my mind or big projects that I’m working on. I’m going to try it out and see how it goes. Both are located in a business park type of area off of Snowden River Parkway - you’d never know from driving by that these two awesome hangout spots are back there, but once you know, you know!

Give Your Delivery Drivers a Treat!

Give Your Delivery Drivers a Treat!

Get a free printable sign to set up your own snack station for your delivery drivers this holiday season!

Delivery drivers are working long hours this time of year and leaving some treats out for them is a small way to show your appreciation! I’ve seen this idea all over Pinterest and with the amount of online shopping I do (for myself and for business supplies), I wanted to do it myself this year.

My Favorite Maryland Small Businesses

My Favorite Maryland Small Businesses

Shop local Maryland businesses this holiday season.

As much as I love stores like Target and the convenience of Amazon, I love shopping small even more!

Shopping at small businesses supports local makers and service providers. Shopping small helps the business owner provide for their family; when you shop local small businesses, it benefits your local economy, too. Small businesses create unique, handmade items and they put a LOT of love into their products (or services).
