Simple & Easy Fall Home Decor Ideas
/Get your home feeling festive for fall by adding some simple & easy touches to your decor!
Mini pumpkins & gourds
Head to your local farmer’s market, grocery store, Trader Joe’s, etc for some little pumpkins to scatter around! I got mine from a local farm stand. They are super inexpensive - around $1 a pop (at least at my spot)! Put them on your dining room table, counter, shelves...so many possibilities!
Want faux pumpkins so you can bring them out year after year? This year Target had some cuties in their dollar spot!
You can also get some faux pumpkins and gourds to use as filler in vases, bowls, etc. I also saw some filler at Target, but in case you can’t find it there, here’s a good option from Amazon!
Fall Pillow Covers
One of the easiest ways to switch out your decor with the seasons is with pillow covers. This way, you can have cute seasonal throw pillows, but don’t have to find a place to store a bunch of pillows! Just switch out the cover when you’re ready for a change. I like to decorate for fall, Christmas, and then “the rest of the year,” so I have some seasonal pillows with neutral covers on them that I take off, and some neutral pillows that I add a cover to seasonally.
These are the neutral covers I have - they are super cute and come in a lot of colors! (I have dark blue + cream, as picture above!)
Here’s a couple of cute fall pillow covers - which do you like better, the pumpkin patch or the truck?
Welcome Mats
I had to make a cute welcome mat for my front porch! If you’re a Marylander, you can come out to one of my welcome mat classes at Hysteria Brewing Company to make your very own! Here’s a list of my upcoming events.
I thought that the black & white buffalo check rug under my welcome mat added the perfect finishing touch! Since my porch is concrete, it helped make things look a little nicer and more put together. I found this rug on Amazon for less than $20! The 23.7” x 35.5” rug was the perfect size to go under my doormat.
Fall Wreaths
Who doesn’t love a gorgeous wreath?! You can always head to the craft store to get creative and make your own, but if you want something beautiful and ready-made, Etsy is a treasure trove of interesting and eye-catching wreaths. Here’s a few of my favorites that I found:
Fall Printable Art
A printable is a digital design that you can download and print out at home. This is one of the easiest ways you can update your decor, because all you do is download and print! Trim the image to size and stick it in a frame, if you’re feeling fancy. I love printables because they are quick, inexpensive and a great way to spruce up your space. If you missed it, I posted a free fall printable in honor of the first day of fall!
If you like Halloween, I have some punny printables available in my shop, too.
